Basketball : Life Lessons .

I was blessed to have had the opportunity to study in N.St Mathew's Public School which focused a lot on the all round development of a child . Equal importance was given to extra curricular activities and throughout those schooling years we were occupied with a lot of those activities. Sports played a major role during those formative years . It all started in the eight standard . Till then Football was the major sport we played and a group of us had moved to Basketball . That transition was one of the major turning points in my life . Basketball gave me everything in life .  Friendships - Bonding over Sports                         Basketball was the major bonding factor. The best of the friends I had , played the game and more importantly they Loved the Game !If you observe , it's easy to find out a sportsperson in any group . They always stand out . The way they interact , the way they handle things are admirable . Such is the power of Sports. When you spend so mu

Wild Dove and Love Pigeons

Years of happiness c ame to an end in a whisker of a second The Love of the white  dove  was taken back by Him. The shattered  dove  became aimless and emotionless. He Wandered around the world.  Facing rough conditions and  hard storms , he became  wild. Lost his tenderness , Not knowing where to go , Not understanding what is happening to him., Not having anyone to show him the path. He got tired and restless. But he didn't stop his journey   To find the Love of his life.   One day , during this never  ending journey He Went over to a hill  and found His home there   He wanted to question Him !    But there he saw over the top  Two black pigeons madly in love  He looked into the  eyes of one pigeon And all that he lost ,  He found back .   It's been ages ,the  dove  was so much in peace He thought he found back ,  his lost happiness But His ways are different   The other pigeon flew away ,  his love followed him .  It was all like a dream   Before he realized   what has happe

The Greatest War Man ever fought !

Forty days and Forty Nights ,he was fasting      Preparing for  the  final battle of his life  How strong was his will , to achieve that feat ? He washed their hands and legs    Told them  the  end is almost there  How brave was his spirit to accept  the  challenge ? Looking at  the  sky ,     Standing on his kneels ,   He prayed for strength. They arrived with  the  betrayer    to take him for  the  judgement. Betrayed by a disciple ,    disowned thrice by an other ,  He just walked with them in silence   How stone-hearted was he to take it ? Accused of blasphemy ,      None to support him ,  He was sentenced to crucifixion . Publicly scourged , receiving    hundreds of leather thonged whips ;  Cuts and Bruises everywhere ,   Never before  the  world saw so much bloodshed.  And there , all he did was,    asking for forgiveness on their behalf .  How generous was his character ? Stripped naked , mocked and spat on .     Crown of thorns on his head ,  Carrying a heavy cross , for  the

Ithaka

As you set out for Ithaka hope your road is a long one, full of adventure, full of discovery. Laistrygonians, Cyclops, angry Poseidon—don’t be afraid of them: you’ll never find things like that on your way as long as you keep your thoughts raised high, as long as a rare excitement stirs your spirit and your body. Laistrygonians, Cyclops, wild Poseidon—you won’t encounter them unless you bring them along inside your soul, unless your soul sets them up in front of you. Hope your road is a long one. May there be many summer mornings when, with what pleasure, what joy, you enter harbors you’re seeing for the first time; may you stop at Phoenician trading stations to buy fine things, mother of pearl and coral, amber and ebony, sensual perfume of every kind— as many sensual perfumes as you can; and may you visit many Egyptian cities to learn and go on learning from their scholars. Keep Ithaka always in your mind. Arriving there is what you’re destined for. But don’t hurry the journey at all.
